19, no wait, 20 weeks

At my ultrasound last Wednesday, they decided to move my due date back to the original due date (based on my last period) of October 16th. So, I am now 20 weeks along! I got to skip the 19th week! Yippee! But, just so there is no confusion for myself looking back on these pics or for any of you readers I have decided to label this week's pic "19/20 weeks" - next week will be 21 weeks!

Photobucket

I really feel like I've "popped" and I now look pregnant and not just bloated. Loving that!

Pregnancy tid-bits...
  • Now that I know there is a little man growing inside me I feel like I am bonding with him more (and the fact that he is kicking up a storm helps, too).
  • Andy and I have no clue as to what we will name our son. Any suggestions? It seems like if I like something he doesn't and vise versa. Or someone else we know has that name. Or it just doesn't sound right with our last name. Blah.
  • Andy put rubbed his hand on my belly last night when I was laying in bed and he swears he felt him kick. BUT, I wasn't feeling him move at that time so I'm not so sure. I'll just give him the benefit of the doubt. ;-)
  • As of last Wednesday I have gained about 12 lbs so far. I love my curvier body and HUGE boobs. I could be pregnant all the time just for this.
  • Headaches haven't been as bad lately. But, my back doesn't feel too hot. I've got a long road ahead of me.
  • I am dying to go shopping for my little guy. We don't own anything "boy" yet. I'm restraining, though.
That does it for now! Now the only thing on my mind is what to eat next.... hmmmmmmmmmm... :-)

Pathetic Post

Let me start by saying HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY! I feel truly blessed and honored to live in this Country and my heart goes out to each and every serviceman/woman who is out there serving us now and those who have lost their lives for us.

Photobucket

Now on to my pathetic post. I title this "Pathetic Post" because that's how I feel right now and kinda how I feel about my Memorial Day weekend. While everyone else was off camping or enjoying sunny weather, I just had a weekend full of cluster-nothing. Yes, cluster-nothing...I'm making that up. It was a mish-mashed variety of highs and lows, ups and downs, good and bad.

Highlights:
  • My MIL and I went to the broadway musical Wicked on Saturday afternoon and it was AMAZING!!! Seriously, if you ever have the opportunity to see it, it is worth every single penny.
  • Leila's bedroom was painted a beautiful sky blue/turquoise and now all it needs is some clouds to be painted on. Since her and baby boy will be sharing a room for a while we're making it pretty neutral (with butterflies in the "sky" on her side and airplanes on his).
  • Andy got off work early on Sunday (YAY!), so we went and visited our good friends Jess & Mike. If you read this past post, you may remember that Mike is in the midst of a nasty battle with cancer right now. I'm happy to say he is kicking its ass! Well, at least he seems to be doing better and is in good spirits. It was great to visit with them for a while.
  • We got a BRAND NEW fancy front load washer and dryer since our old school 80's ones finally bit the dust. I never thought I'd be so excited to do laundry in my life.

Lowlights:
  • I'm seriously slacking on my Dreams To Do and it makes me feel like crappola. Yes I am growing a baby which is a dream in and of itself, but I just can't seem to get the friggin quilt done so I can move on to other things. I went to the fabric store, bought what I needed to do the binding and tie the quilt together, but I got the wrong needles and then I royally screwed up the binding before even getting to the sewing part. One full nap time gone to waste.
  • Leila was a nightmare today. And my child is usually quite the angel. She must be FINALLY working on getting some more teeth (she has about 8 to go still). She was just super needy and cried over the littlest things. I was at her disposal all day, so I didn't get anything on my to-do list done.
  • I tried to be a good mommy and make homemade mac n cheese instead of the boxed variety.  Well, you wanna know how that turned out?  See for yourself...

Looks like barf and tasted like it, too. That's what I get for not following a recipe.
Photobucket

On the flip side, my daughter did pick me a lovely flower (i.e. dandelion) which did bring a smile to my face.

Back to the grind tomorrow... :-(

Smoothie Time!

Lately Leila and I have been obsessed with smoothies. We've been having one for dinner (or with dinner) almost every night this week. For starters, you know I have a picky eater on my hands. BUT, my child loves anything fruity and she LOVES yogurt. So, if I throw a bunch of fruit in with some juice and yogurt and blend it all together I'm guaranteed a satisfied toddler. And I have become smart about it. I have started throwing in a HUGE handful of baby spinach, too. The best part is that she doesn't even know it! HA!

Photobucket

Here's what we do:
Ingredients...
1 cup of greek yogurt
1 handful of tropical frozen fruit mix (from Costco - it has pineapple, peaches, strawberries, blueberries, & melon)
1/2 a fresh banana
1 handful of baby spinach
1/2 scoop of vanilla whey protein powder
Some juice (whatever we have on hand, I like the tropical blend)
Just blend that baby up (we use our magic bullet) and you will be in healthy smoothie heaven!

Okay, so maybe the color of this one didn't turn out too pretty, but I swear it tastes GREAT!
Photobucket

Leila is loving it!
Photobucket

Photobucket

I hope everyone has a fabulous & FUN Memorial Day weekend planned! I get to go see the Broadway musical, Wicked, with my MIL tomorrow, but other than that it should be pretty low key. Hubby has to work on Sunday and Monday, so I'll just be managing the beast solo. :-)

Wise Words Wednesday: Gender

"Except for their genitals, I don't know what immutable differences exist between men and women. Perhaps there are some other unchangeable differences; probably there are a number of irrelevant differences. But it is clear that until social expectations for men and women are equal, until we provide equal respect for both sexes, answers to this question will simply reflect our prejudices." - Naomi Weisstein

The money shot!
Photobucket

I decided to bust out a deep gender quote today, on the day of the discovery of my next child's gender. Boy oh Boy was it a long, but VERY good day! A little man is growing inside me!

Precious little profile...
Photobucket

When the ultrasound tech put the thingy on my belly the first image to fill the screen was a penis. Andy and I knew right away. I guess my gut feeling the last couple of weeks was right! I am so happy for my athletic hubby to have a little boy to play catch with and basketball and football. Not that he can't do those things with Leila (I'm sure he will), but it will be so much fun for us to have one of each gender. I agree with the above quote in the sense that we do condition our children slightly differently if they are boys or girls and maybe this reflects our prejudices, but I also believe that there really are ingrained differences within each gender (besides the genitals). I'm excited to experience the "boy" side of things!

Little feetsies...
Photobucket

Besides finding out we are having a SON, we also learned that he is healthy and doing just wonderfully inside me! That's the most stressful part about having the first big ultrasound. The only minor concern they found was that my placenta is very close to my cervix, so I will have to have another ultrasound in a month to see if it moves up as my belly grows. If not, they will keep monitoring. I'm not worried though! OH! And they DID move my due date back to October 16th (instead of the 23rd) because he is measuring a week ahead compared to my first U/S. Wooooohooooooo! So, I am now 19.5 weeks along instead of 18.5. It's the little things that make me happy!

Say "Ahhhhhhhh!"
Photobucket

On another semi-related note, how do you feel about the name Biff Belzer? We started scanning through baby names tonight and this one just cracked us up! :-)

The 4D shot...

18 weeks

My baby is about the size of a bell pepper and I'm a little bit larger than that...

Photobucket

But, compared to last week's pic I think I actually look smaller in this one (hadn't had dinner yet). And I don't really look too much bigger than I did with Leila last time.

Pregnancy tid-bits this week...
  • We're finding out the gender on WEDNESDAY! I'm so excited! This baby better cooperate and show us the goods.
  • I had my first prenatal massage on Saturday morning and it was heavenly. I felt so good for the rest of the weekend, with NO headaches! Today I have a little one, but not too bad.
  • Right at this moment I feel my little ninja baby kicking down super low. I wish I could feel him/her all day long! Usually I only get a couple of moments like this each day when I'm sitting still and paying attention. He/She was going crazy during my massage. :-)
  • My right hip has been going out on me. I remember this happening with Leila near the end, but not this early! I'm not even half way through yet! Sometimes I will get out of bed in the morning and can hardly put any weight on my right leg. I've got a long road ahead of me...
I will have many more updates on Wednesday after my appointment! Stay tuned!

Productivity (with just one minor meltdown)

It has indeed been a most productive weekend. My weekend consisted of one most-fabulous massage, zero headaches (for the first time in FOREVER!), lots of laundry, closet building, sun-sitting, book reading, Target shopping (OMG I was a VERY bad girl there), bedroom redecorating, a baby shower, a one-year-old's birthday, dinner with friends, and only one Leila meltdown.

The highlights (lowlights) of that weekend craziness consisted of my trip to Target and Leila's meltdown. The rest was just fluff (albeit very good, productive fluff).

I ventured off to good ole Target at 8 o'clock on Saturday night, post Leila's bedtime. I was by myself. The parking lot was nearly empty. I was in heaven. You see, I love Target. The styles, the prices. The place makes me giddy. Most of my trips there involve a toddler tearing crap off shelves and screaming when I put her in the cart. So, usually I walk away with very minor damage. As for last night, I was bad. I had the shopping high. An empty store with no hubby or toddler to distract me from buying anything I wanted. I did however go there with a mission: to get the finishing touches for a more summery feeling master bedroom. So, I steered clear of women's clothing. I did buy myself a swimsuit (it will be returned - YUCKO!) and got some cute Leila clothing, but the rest consisted of home goods. $240 dollars worth to be exact (my heart was racing and palms were sweating as I told hubby the grand total).

My precious lounging with a gossip mag on our re-done bed.
Photobucket

Throw pillows & lamps courtesy of Target. Duvet, Ikea (via eBay).
Photobucket

Sorry I don't have a before picture - I wasn't really planning on having an HGTV moment. Our room was full of reds and dark colors before. Now it is much lighter and brighter.

Oh! And here is my new BFF...

Photobucket

Not the cute child, the crazy pillow. That my friends is a Snoogle Mini - a pregnant momma's new best friend. It's not like those other HUGE pregnancy pillows that go around your entire body. This one allows me to use my own pillow and just use it to support my belly and lower back (and keep me sleeping on my side). Love it! (And Leila does, too!)

Photobucket

So, besides my crazy/awesome/troublesome solo trip to Target the only other thing to really touch on is Leila's dinnertime meltdown. Updates on the quilt and closet??? Quilt just sits there staring at me on a daily basis. I don't know how to finish the edges and I'm scared to ruin it. It will happen though. The closet is SO close to being done! Next weekend should do it!

Leila's meltdown? See for yourself.

All I did was ask her not to smear yogurt all over the counter. I'm scared for the teen years.

Pregnancy Brain

In the midst of writing my sappy-happy post yesterday, I completely forgot to write about my ultimate bout of pregnancy brain yesterday morning.

Actually, let me just show you...

Photobucket

I woke up yesterday happy (and without a headache for the first time in over a week). I got ready for work in record time, dressed in a pretty spring dress for the sunny weather, and got to spend some pleasant moments with Leila before heading off to work. I even arrived at work several minutes early for once.

And then I sat down at my desk and noticed my feet.

Yes, I was wearing two completely (except for the color) shoes. I was mortified and soooooooo grateful that no one had noticed. Long story short, I ran home and grabbed the match to the peep toe wedge and started working about a half hour late. However, the rest of the day was obviously amazing.

How does this happen? I have no excuse other than this pregnancy. I wasn't running late. I wasn't all grumped out. It was a good day!

Looking back I just think it is hilarious! I'm pretty sure I had a nightmare where this happened once before.

Hope this put a smile on your face. :-)

Wise Words Wednesday: Simple Happiness

"The art of being happy lies in the power of extracting happiness from common things." — Henry Ward Beecher

Photobucket

Today is a happy day. I found pure and simple joy by treating my daughter to her very first McDonald's Happy Meal for lunch. It is Daddy's day with her today, but since he had a doc appointment, I escaped work and hung out with my beauty for an hour.

The sheer joy on her face when I presented her with the chicken nuggets, chocolate milk, and apple slices (Happy Meals are so much better than "back in the day") was priceless. I bottled it right on up and I'm keeping it tucked inside me forever. My girl, who usually is not excited for food, was so happy to eat lunch in the car with her Mommy sitting in the backseat with her. I waited to show her the toy until she finished her nuggets, but that took her happiness to a whole new level (see above).

Something about this small chunk of time spent with Leila in our car in the parking lot of a doctors office brought me so much joy. It reminded me that it really is that simple things in life that mean so much. And it's all about the moments we spend with those we love. And maybe some greasy McNuggets don't hurt, either. :-)

17 weeks

OMG, I love this week's pic! Isn't Billy just hilarious? He just HAD to be in the pic with us. :-)

Photobucket

My belly looks exceptionally round in this pic. Post spaghetti dinner and all - you understand. ;-) As for the jeans I'm wearing in the Leila belly shot last time, yeah...there is no way I could even get those half way up my thighs this time. Pretty sure those ones stopped fitting the second I saw the 2 pink lines. Oh well! Let jeggings live on!

Some pregnancy ramblings...
  • Today I am convinced I am having a boy. Since these killer headaches have started I'm feeling how different this pregnancy is than last time. Less nausea. Already having hip/back pains. & baby's heart rate is lower - old wives tale sign of a boy. We'll see in 9 days!!!
  • Today I rolled out of bed (yes, already rolling) and my legs didn't want to work. Um, I'm pretty sure with Leila I didn't feel this way until like week 35 or something. What is wrong with me? My hips have been killing me.
  • Positive about pregnancy #2? No need to read "What to Expect" or any other pregnancy books. Been there, done that. Instead I'm reading fun fiction to escape my every day reality. :-)
  • On Sunday the fam and I ventured off to Babies R Us for a friend's shower present (& some cute summer Leila clothes). Boy oh boy did it make me excited for a new baby! I could have purchased 20 baby blankets yesterday (I have a weakness for soft fabrics) and about 50 adorable newborn outfits. And guess what? We did leave with one thing for the new baby already. A beautiful new gliding rocking chair! I wanted one so bad with Leila, but at the time we couldn't afford it. They were 20% off yesterday and we couldn't resist. :-)
  • I'm starting to feel baby move! For the past few days I've felt him/her a couple of times each day. Loving it!
Back to the headaches. Andy made me call the doctor today since I have been suffering with one continuous loooooonnnnnnngggggg headache-verging-on-migraine for over a week now. They had me come in and I left with a pain killer prescription (my pharmacist hubby is skeptical of letting me take this) and a prescription, yes prescription, for back massages! Oh yeah! So worth leaving work and getting to hear my baby's heart beat. Headache is still rocking on, but maybe a nice 60 minute massage will help? :-) I'll keep ya posted!

Living in Tulip Central

Thanks to my professional gardener wannabe hubby, our backyard is now full of beautiful tulips. The ultimate sign of Spring to me.

Photobucket

With our weekend full of sunshine (with the exception of the 2nd half of today in which there was a torrential downpour), much time was spent outside enjoying the tulips and the little one running around oozing sheer joy.

Seriously, for some reason our tulips are freakishly tall. Like taller than Leila...
Photobucket

My favorite tiger striped tulip.
Photobucket

I cannot get enough of our backyard. It is my little paradise.
Photobucket

Besides enjoying the beauty of the great outdoors (i.e. our backyard), I had a rather excruciating weekend full of one looooonnnnngggg killer headache (verging on migraine). I have been pretty miserable. So miserable that I had to bail from the annual Bowl for Kids Sake benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters - an event I LOVE to participate in with my co-workers every year. Sad stuff. BUT, I did do one major thing on my to-do list...I almost finished the quilt!

Sooooo close to being done!
Photobucket

Seriously, all I need to do to check this baby off my Dreams To Do list is add some sort of binding around the edge (I have NO clue how to do this) and then either quilt it in some way or tie it together. I'm just proud of myself for getting this far without a pattern or any idea as to what I am doing. Go me! :-)

So, other than headaches and tulips and quilting, all I have to leave you with are some spaghetti Leila pics. Good stuff!

Hmmmm, this looks ok I think I'll try it...
Photobucket

Not too bad. And kinda fun to slurp up.
Photobucket

It would probably taste better without the snot - oh well!
Photobucket

Here's to a fabulous week ahead - with NO headaches! {I'm putting it out there!}

Mad at Blogger... & I just felt my baby!!!

***Update: My missing post miraculously reappeared and just posted! Below this one.

This is just a quick two-sided post.

First of all, I am pissed off at Blogger right now. I had a fabulous ranting working momma post with great pics scheduled to go up last night. Apparently they ended up doing some maintenance and my post is completely gone. No where to be found. There is no sense in me trying to re-write it because I was full of emotion at the time and don't want to go back there. Pooey on Blogger! Boo!

On a happier note, yesterday I thought I felt baby move for the first time!!! And, just 2 minutes ago I KNOW I felt him/her move. YAY!!! Little tiny fluttering kicks. Just one or two and then gone. I can't wait for them to get stronger and more consistent. My fave part of being pregnant!

Oh! One more thing. I just ordered bedding for Leila's big girl bed (coming soon) and I really wanted these cute stuffed owls to go with that I found at Pottery Barn. Since there is no way I'm gonna spend $20+ bucks for a stuffed owl I decided I'm going to try to make these!

Cute, huh?Photobucket

Grrrrrrrrrr... I'm still so mad at Blogger. Did this happen to any of you?

Warmest Day Yet = Sad Working Momma

So, you know I am pretty dang content as a working mom. No doubt I have my good days and my bad days, but for the most part I love the balance in my life. That is, until the first day of really warm weather hits and I'm stuck in the office away from my family.

I missed a trip to the park with my bro's fam...
Photobucket

The other day our city hit 70 degrees for the first time in the past 7 months. Needless to say, we have been dying for some warm weather around here. As luck would have it I was stuck at work while my hubby and daughter got to spend the day together outside. I spent the day in my closet of an office (literally my office is an old utility closet - lucky me) feeling sorry for myself while most of my co-workers were out at "important client meetings." It was a lonely day. I did get to escape at lunch to soak up some sun with the fam, but I left them feeling even more down.

At the park with Daddy...
Photobucket

Beautiful Japanese Gardens...that I missed :-(
Photobucket

Why am I working?

What makes it worth it?

Why can't I be home with my daughter all the time?

I don't even make that much money!

I returned to work from lunch questioning everything. And craving a cold drink. Lucky for me I have an AMAZING hubby who brought me a Mochanut Frappacino from Starbucks and turned my frown upside down.

I left work promptly at 5 and spent the evening outside eating BBQ and watching Leila play in the dirt. Life really is good. And I do like my job (just not as much on sunny days). And I am grateful that Andy gets to spend a full day with Leila mid-week. But, sometimes it's just hard to be a working momma.

Wise Words Wednesday: Lemonade

"I believe that if life gives you lemons, you should make lemonade... And try to find somebody whose life has given them vodka, and have a party." - Ron White

Photobucket

A fun quote for a fun and sunny Wednesday! This evening I've been busy sipping some homemade lemonade (yes, my hubby is that good) and lounging outside after a long day at work while my crazy toddler eats dirt. {Don't worry, I didn't let her eat too much!}

Then we enjoyed some smoothies for dinner (thanks Courtney for the suggestion - Leila loves smoothies!)... maybe with a little remnant dirt mixed in. ;-)

Photobucket

Happy Hump Day!

16 weeks

Only 16 weeks and it already feels like I've been pregnant FOREVER!

Photobucket

Looking quite a bit rounder and whiter than I did with Leila, eh? Feeling pretty dang good, though! (although in this week's pic I was in the midst of an epic headache and not feeling too hot)

Weekly pregnancy thoughts/symptoms/factoids...
  • I've been getting headaches a lot. Atleast every other day. It's making me wonder if this little being growing inside me could be a boy this time. With Leila I NEVER got headaches.
  • Nausea and unavoidable laziness are OVER! {knocking on wood right now} - I am feeling good and I've been able to stay up past 9 o'clock lately. Go me!
  • Pregnancy dreams are weird... and very vivid. The fact that I've been reading the Hungar Games trilogy right before bed probably doesn't help this.
  • I'm dying to feel this little beast move! Sometimes I think I may feel something, but it's probably just gassiness.
:-)

Mother's Day FUN

What a fantabulous weekend! Where do I begin...

Saturday was filled with amazingness. We spent the morning lounging around, getting laundry dealt with (which felt oh so good since we were a good couple of weeks behind - yikes!), and I even started sewing my quilt! Can you believe it? After putting Leila down for her nap I met my Momma for lunch and pedicures. So much fun and oh so relaxing!

Our cute, colorful toesies...
Photobucket

After the pedis, we returned to my place for the night. Nothing like a sleep over with the Momma! I FINISHED sewing the patchwork part of my quilt (photos to come later) and the time seemed to fly by with my Mom there to keep me company and occupy Leila while Andy cooked us an amazing gourmet dinner. We chowed down on steak, salmon, and prosciutto/cheese stuffed chicken along with my hubbies famous orzo salad and roasted potatoes. He spoiled us! For dessert we had strawberry shortcake. I retired to bed a VERY happy preggo woman. :-)

Oh yeah, a good chunk of Sat was lost to reading on the back deck...
Photobucket

And admiring our beautiful flowers...
Photobucket

Photobucket

With Saturday soooooo wonderful, it was hard to top it today. But, the day started off GREAT. Leila seriously woke up SO happy. She was jumping on the bed, laughing and being so goofy and cute. We snuggled in bed for a good hour before getting up. Then we met my Dad for breakfast at one of our FAVE fancy restaurants here in town. Such a Mother's Day treat.

Me, Leila, my Momma before breakfast...
Photobucket

At breakfast...
Photobucket

My beauty (with the stupid binky - plans to destroy it soon)...
Photobucket

After our extraordinary breakfast, the rest of the day slowly went downhill. Nothing tragic, but I got an excruciating headache and Leila's great mood turned sour real fast. So, since about noon I have been moping around in pain while my daughter whines nonstop. I don't think she felt too great either. On a positive note, my Dad and Andy worked on Leila's closet some more... but it is still not done. Next weekend it should happen (mostly).

Sorry for the literal breakdown of my entire weekend. I just want to remember it all - the good and the okay. On the agenda for this week? Finishing the quilt! I'm serious this time!

Happy Mother's Day!

Wise Words Wednesday: Striving for Optimism

“A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.” - Winston Churchill

Photobucket

Have you ever had a Negative Nancy kind of day? Boy have I! And today was one of them. You know, just one of those days where you can't help but see the negative in everything. When nothing seems to be going your way. When you just want to crawl in bed and throw the covers over your head and disappear.

I get this way sometimes and it makes me feel guilty. Even when I am so down on myself and even feeling sorry for myself at times, I KNOW that there are people, even my closest family and friends, going through much, much, much worse situations than myself. But, I think it is in our human nature to feel down now and then. Regardless of our circumstances. You can have all the money, all the friends, all the love in the world and still feel down. It's a strange phenomenon.

BUT, I always strive to be optimistic. That is actually an ongoing Dream To Do for me. When I'm having a Debbie Downer kind of day (like today), I try my hardest to focus on the little lights in my life at that moment. Like sparkly high heels in the sun! Or fresh pineapple that doesn't hurt your tongue. And little girls who say, "I lub you!"

Photobucket

Photobucket

And so I say, "Out with the bad and in with the good!"

Tomorrow is a new day!

15 weeks

That is, I'm 15 weeks pregnant with baby #2. Check out this bump comparison:

Photobucket

What a HUGE difference a high quality camera makes, huh? As far as the pregnancy differences, my belly is slightly larger than with Leila and I'm weighing a good 10 lbs more than I did at 15 weeks last time. Here are some pregnancy tid-bits thus far...
  • Nausea this time around is about 50% better than with Leila. Only puked twice so far whereas it was almost daily with her. And I must say, I think I'm over it now! (knocking on wood)
  • I started this pregnancy about 6 lbs heavier than when I started with Leila. I've gained about 9 lbs so far. Should be nice and plump by October.
  • Still haven't felt any movement. Hoping for it any week now. I think I felt Leila move around 16-17 weeks.
  • Food cravings? I want it all! This time around is great because I haven't had any food aversions (i.e. nothing that makes me gag on site/smell). With Leila I would puke at the sight of a steak on a TV commercial. So far my cravings really vary day-to-day, but I have been eating a few too many McDonald's fries. But, can you blame me? What baby wants, baby gets. :-)
  • If I ask Leila what's in my belly, she'll say "baby!" I don't really think she understands, but it melts my heart. She is going to be the best big sister.

That's all for now folks! It should be exciting to watch my belly grow each week. ;-)

Closets, Quilts, & Sunshine!

That's what our weekend consisted of. My dad came over to help Andy with his first ever building project - adding a closet to Leila's room. They spent all day Saturday framing and drywalling and now we have about 1/2 a closet done. Should be finished by next weekend - YAY!

Ok, now on to more exciting things. This weekend was soooooo fabulous that really all I wanted to do was sit outside in the glorious sun and read my newest addiction, The Hunger Games. So, that's what I did a LOT of (pretty sure I'll finish the 1st book in the trilogy tonight - in 2 days! That is crazy fast for me because I am a super slow reader.) BUT, I also worked on the quilt! I know I said I would start sewing it, which didn't really happen, but I still made some serious progress. I finished cutting and got it all laid out...

Photobucket

Pretty cute, huh? It'll be even better once it's sewn together. This baby is getting done soon! I'm gonna make it happen!

Other highlights of our weekend in pics...

Baby girl was distracting me while quilting.
Photobucket

Our flowers are a-blooming!
Photobucket

Leila enjoying our fab back yard, lounging in her little chair.
Photobucket

I wish I could take credit for this pic, but this is all my Hubby. He's becoming quite the photographer!
Photobucket

So, I'm sorry this post is boring and thrown together. I had planned on doing a 15 week pregnancy update complete with side-by-side belly shots of this time versus with Leila, but I was having issues with the good ole MacBook. Love this computer, but I'm still trying to figure it out. And I'm dying without Photoshop! Should be getting it soon though. Hopefully I'll get the belly post up tomorrow.

Hope you all had a most wonderful weekend! :-)
