Landon has been in his Hanger Helmet for about a month and a half now and we couldn't be happier with it. He has taken to wearing the helmet quite well (& it totally suits him!) and the difference in his head shape in this short amount of time is amazing!
We went to see the orthotist today and he took Landon's measurements. I don't remember the specific numbers and I don't know the correct terminology, but he's down to only a 4mm variance between his left and right diagonal measurements and he only has another 10mm or so to go until he reaches his goal circumference. He's grown 5mm total in just in the last 2 weeks. He should easily be out of the helmet completely by August!
Blond to brunette? Nah, pretty sure it's just the lighting, but his head is rounder! :-)
If any one out there reads this and is in the position of debating whether or not to pursue helmet therapy, I say JUST GO FOR IT. The cost and the short amount of time that your baby has to wear the funny looking thing is SO worth knowing you did everything you could for their health and self confidence in the long run.
